About the Study
The MoTHer program is a research study conducted by the CSIRO Australian e-Health Research Centre. It uses a smartphone app and internet-based portal to help women monitor blood glucose levels and other health measures during treatment for diabetes in pregnancy.
Instead of recording results in a paper diary, participants use a Bluetooth-enabled blood glucose meter that uploads readings to the MoTHer app. Health measurements are automatically shared with the care team through a secure clinical portal.
