Withdrawing from the Study

Your participation is voluntary. It is completely up to you whether or not you participate. If you decide to withdraw, it will not affect the clinical care you receive in any way.

How to Withdraw

If you wish to withdraw from the MoTHer study, follow these steps:

  1. Notify the project team — contact us by email at motherapp@csiro.au and let us know you wish to withdraw.
  2. Inform your diabetes educator — let your care team know so they can provide you with a paper-based diary for recording your blood glucose levels.
  3. Delete the app — remove the MoTHer app from your device(s).

You do not need to give a reason for withdrawing.

What Happens After You Withdraw

Your Data After Withdrawal

If you withdraw, CSIRO may still use de-identified data that you submitted to the app up until the point of withdrawal, as described in the Terms & Conditions. No new data will be collected after you withdraw.

Your personal information will continue to be protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and CSIRO's privacy obligations.

Need help? If you have questions about withdrawing, contact the project team at motherapp@csiro.au or see the Contact page for more options.
